COURTESSY CALL OF ARPI MEMBER EAST JAVA CHAPTER (English version)

The national cold chain market is currently growing rapidly in line with increasing public awareness in storing frozen food to secure food supplies for the next few days. The provision of small-scale frozen food storage is also a good business opportunity that can be served in the form of a frozen storage fulfillment system connected to its delivery service (cold package expedition). SME and large cold chain business actors continue to join ARPI.

Responding to this market development, ARPI’s East Java Chapter held a meeting of members of the East Java region at the end of last November. Discussion of the cold chain market situation became the main topic of the meeting, namely regarding frozen storage installations and supporting equipment (machines, insulation panels and others), cold package delivery in the final chain using several modes of two-wheeled transportation, small to large size container trucks, trains (Less Container Load, LCL model), and aircraft. Hasanuddin Yasni, Chairperson, explained ARPI’s future programs, including standardization of insulation panels, reefer container refrigeration systems, standardization of cold chain logistics and their supports which are being discussed by the ISO TC 315 technical committee team, and future trends in the cold chain industry and market. Hendrik Pratama from Gununges 13 and Wongsocool AirCond & Refrigeration as Chair of the East Java Chapter revealed the intent and purpose of the meeting so that ARPI East Java could work hand in hand to develop the national cold chain industry, especially the East Java region.

Members present included: Pangan Lestari (Sekar Bumi group), Rajawali Perkasa, MGM Bosco, Kiat Ananda CS, Sabe Steel, Meratus Line group (shipping line), Rudy Tjiptono (Management Board), and guests of honor from the Provincial Fisheries Service and KAI Logistics for the East Java region.
