Kumpul Bersama Anggota ARPI
(Bahasa Indonesia)

ARPI MEMBER GATHERING 2024
(English version)
Collaboration, technology, digitalization, standardization, proper regulation and sustainable energy management are instruments that must be used as guidelines in accelerating growth and strengthening the national cold chain industry. This is defined in detail in the annual gathering of ARPI members with the theme Growing Stronger Together.
Since the 2020 pandemic, the global food market has gradually experienced a transformation in the supply chain (disrupted for 2 years) and storage management for food security. The relocation of cold storage, which facilitates its function as a distribution center, is an important issue in supporting a country’s food security. And Vietnam has been doing this since 2019 and is currently at saturation point with an unemployment rate of only 2.6% (the lowest in Asia Pacific with an average of 5.7%). With the gradual recovery of world economic conditions, other Asia Pacific countries, especially ASEAN countries such as Indonesia and Cambodia, have the opportunity to take market share in the future by preparing the best possible cold chain infrastructure. The General Chairperson of ARPI further explained that the main issues above, which are instruments for accelerating the growth of the cold chain industry, must be the main goal of developing national logistics that can support food security.
In this event, government regulations regarding the implementation of halal logistics certification for distributing and storing halal products were also discussed. LPPOM MUI (the National Halal Auditor) explained the halal certification mechanism for ARPI members and their customers which was marked by the signing of a Cooperation (MoU) between ARPI and LPPOM MUI.
The latest technology in the refrigeration sector, explained in detail by Copeland, prioritizes energy-saving compressor products, the use of environmentally friendly freon refrigerant (low GWP) and is connected to digital systems in product maintenance and repair. Meanwhile, Aneka Citra Refrigraha, which collaborates with Far East Indonesia (Eden brand), informed how their manufacturer makes and assembles international standard cold warehouse spare parts, after-sales-installation of warehouses, and heat-exchanger technology for cooling machines with the latest technology that is economical in energy.
How to overcome the security of a warehouse from a disaster that can be measured, is explained in detail by the insulation panel manufacturer Royal Havilah. The strength of the insulation panels against these disasters is the key to the quality of the products produced. Indonesia already has SNI Polyisocyanurate (PIR) Insulation Panels which were developed independently by the ARPI conceptual team based on current international standards, where Royal Havilah is one of the team members apart from other continuous line system PIR manufacturers. With TKDN (local content) owned by more than 50%, it should and will be proposed to the relevant Ministry for a tax policy that supports local manufacturing to compete in the global market.
In her remarks from the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), Amanda Brondy, briefly explained the challenges and efforts of how to map cold chain infrastructure well, energy sustainability by saving energy and using alternative energy, continuous education and training in empowering human resources. cold chain players, and government advocacy in making regulatory policies, especially in the cold chain industry. The ARPI Board of Trustees also explained business relationships that support each other among cold chain players. ARPI and Kristamedia Pratama will also hold the All Indonesia Cool-Tech expo together with the SIAL Interfood expo (international scale) at JIEx Expo, Kemayoran, Jakarta, on 13-16 November 2024. At this expo, cold chain players will directly meet end-users , food and beverage players from within and outside the country.
