The Jakarta Provincial Government Will Reintroduce The Strict PSBB

THE JAKARTA PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT WILL REINTRODUCE THE STRICT PSBB

VIVA – The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has implemented an emergency brake policy and has returned to Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) as they were implemented at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, emphasized that non-essential office activities in the Jakarta area must close. “And implement the work from home mechanism,” said Anies in Jakarta, Wednesday night, September 9, 2020. DKI Jakarta PSBB Total Starting September 14, Office Staff Must Work at Home However, said Anies, there are only 11 essential business fields that may continue to operate with minimal operations and may not be fully operational as usual with the application of restrictions on the number of employees. The eleven business fields, namely, health, food and feedstuffs, energy, communication and information technology, finance, logistics, hospitality, construction, strategic industries, basic services for public utilities, and industries that are designated as national vital objects and certain objects as well as the fulfillment of daily needs. All additional operating permits for non-essential business fields obtained during the early days of PSBB, both by the DKI Provincial Government and the Ministry of Industry are no longer valid and must be re-evaluated if they feel they need to get an exception. The reason for Anies to re-apply to the initial PSBB is because the number of positive numbers in DKI is so high. So, he said, seeing this emergency, Jakarta had no other choice but to pull the emergency brake immediately. “In the meeting of the task force to accelerate the control of COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta, it was concluded that we will pull the emergency brake, which means we are forced to re-implement Large-Scale Social Restrictions like in the past, no longer the transitional PSBB,” he said. Anies added that it was the emergency brake that was pulled at this time. He said the COVID Task Force in Jakarta, in this case the Forkopimda DKI, agreed to re-implement the PSBB. “We pull the emergency brake, and we will re-apply the president’s direction at the beginning of the outbreak, namely working from home, learning from home, worshiping from home,” he said.
