Patimban is a suitable replacement of Cilamaya. The proposed Patimban port will have capacity of 7.5 million twenty foot equivalent units (TEUs) by 2037 providing much needed support for trade activities in Java, the count most populated island and center its manufacturing activities. Indonesia sees around 12 million TEUs containers passing through its ports for domestic and international shipping  in 2014 according to data compiled by World Bank.
