Average Indonesian spends around 25% of income on food and beverage. But good food is not ubiquitous. Almost good food need a monitoring quality, start from post harvest, continue to processing for making various products and finally arrive at restaurant, hotels or consumers. All countries in the world would like to have a good food and safe to eat.
The business of delivering restaurant meals and retail to the home is undergoing rapid change as new online platforms race to capture markets and customers across the ocean and island of Indonesia. Although these new platform are attracting considerable investment and high valuations, the third party logistics, restaurant, retailers, processors and GPS industry has made it up.
By far, the most common form of delivery is the traditional model, in which the consumer places and order with local restaurant or retailers to bring the food to the door. This traditional category has a 90 percent market share, and most of those orders are still placed by phone.
However, as in so many other sectors, the rise of digital technology is reshaping the market. Consumers accustomed to shopping online through apps or websites, will maximum convenience and transparency and increasingly aspect the same experience.
Based on those situations here, ARPI together with Kristamedia Pratama and supported by ALFI (Indonesia Logistics & Freight Forwarding Association) plan to hold halfday seminar with main topic Food Safety & Logistics Management. ARPI would like to explain how the food industry have a good bargaining market and can compete face to face with competitors. ISO 22000 for food safety will make the products superior. Storage in modern warehouse that provided by third party logistics and delivered by using a good monitoring system and compatible packaging will increase its market share and distribute faster. The seminar will be held at Nusa Dua Bali Convention Center (NDBCC), inside Bali Interfood Expo, on September 26th 2019.
