POLICY DIALOGUE AND WORKSHOP
COLD CHAIN LOGISTICS
Bahasa Indonesia
POLICY DIALOGUE AND WORKSHOPS
COLD CHAIN LOGISTICS
English version:
The harmonization of the cold chain logistics concept between Japan and ASEAN countries was initiated 5 (five) years ago in order to respond to the progress of the global food chain and its availability in reducing hunger and population malnutrition which still plagues several countries in the world. Japan initiated the manufacture of refrigerated package delivery standards through ISO 23412 and continued with ISO/PC 315 and refined with ISO/TC 315 (in progress) where Indonesia (National Standardization Agency – BSN) became an active member and member of the Technical Committee team.
In response to the development of the cold chain business, especially in the last mile delivery which has increased significantly since the beginning of the 2020 pandemic, BSN formed the SNI 55-02 National Technical Committee. This Technical Committee has made 2 SNIs that adopt the international standard (ISO), for the delivery of refrigerated packages and prototypes of 20 feet refrigerated containers. BSN sent ARPI to lead this Technical Committee. The Japanese government (through the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure & Transportation) which continues to communicate with the Indonesian government (through the Ministry of Transportation) about updating cold chain logistics concepts, will hold a virtual meeting (Policy Dialogue and Cold Chain Logistics Workshop on the 8th and 9th February 2023. ARPI will be one of the speakers at the virtual meeting. Several industries – cold chain logistics players as well as food delivery players will be invited.
